Fifty Shades Merchandise On the Way

Carolyn Mickler Ltd, a UK company, has been granted the master licensing for merchandise inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey. (A/N: “Fifty Shades of Grey” is now trademarked.)

After visiting the agency’s website, we can see why E L James decided to entrust the worldwide branding to someone who “understands the subtle nuances.”

As outlined in their profile, Carolyn Mickler Ltd is an independent, award-winning boutique agency with a diverse client portfolio.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Mickler is considering Fifty Shades-based lingerie/sleepwear, apparel, fragrances, beauty products, bedding, home furnishings, and stationery, jewelry and adult products aimed at adult women.”

We love the sound of this, although we hope a designer grey tie for our guys or perhaps some Fifty Shades cologne will also be part of the merchandising!

Judging from these examples, we think it’s safe to say we can expect quality merchandise once the official line is launched.

What would you like to see included in the merchandise? Tell us in the comments!

  1. Anything with “Laters baby” , some tea cups, underwear, silver balls, iPhone 4s cases with anything related to the books, soundtrack CDs

  2. I would def wear some 50 Shades jewelry…something classy and subtle. Although personally, I am neither classy nor subtle. I would wear a shirt with the Laters, Baby message on it, as well.

  3. I Agree, Laters Baby would be a great phrase on all type of merchandise. That says I read it and I love Fifty Shades of Grey without being too obvious with a younger generation of kids who is not ready nor mature enough to read these books. Laters Baby is direct but discreet.

  4. I agree with the Laters Baby caption on merchandise. As for jewelry, I would definitely wear the charm bracelet Christian gave Ana on her birthday, and a pair of handcuff earrings (or a handcuffs pendant). :)
