Things seem very close to the book with some beautiful add-ons!

  1. I’ve read the books multiple times, and that hasn’t hurt my enjoyment of the story, so I don’t see why seeing some of the film clips should ruin my enjoyment of the movie. Actually, I find the clips somewhat reassuring. Like many FSOG readers, I was worried about the story making the transition to the screen. I was concerned that the love story would be lost among the more sensational aspects, worried that they would cast an actor who wouldn’t be able to convey the vulnerable side of Christian’s character, afraid that too many changes would have to be made in order to turn the book into a movie. In seeing the film clips, it’s obvious that the book has been followed closely. Jamie and Dakota are clearly capable of portraying all the necessary emotions. The things I’ve noticed in the film clips that vary from the original text look like they will only add to the story. When Christian looks into Ana’s eyes and asks her, “Where have you been?” — I’m a puddle. I can’t wait to see the whole thing…..more than once, undoubtedly.
